Description/Responsibilities: Experience
the Great Land—and God’s heart for His Alutiiq
people there—during InterAct’s life-changing Arctic Adventure ‘08!
This five-week
outreach begins with an in-depth time of training and orientation
in Glenallen, AK. You
will spend 10 amazing days learning about
the cultural values of Alaska Native
people, bonding with your team and preparing
for your outreach on Kodiak Island.
The outreach will include ministry in both
the city of Kodiak and in several villages on the
island. You will help plan and put on VBS and other events. There
will be a variety of work projects, community service and other exciting
activities as you travel around the state. You will even experience
the thrill of riding “Trusty Tusty”—the Alaska State
Ferry!
The trip will conclude with a short
debrief before you head back home.
